4. Remove the front side door inside handle assembly (2).
1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
2. If replacing the door handle, transfer the heated seat switch or seat adjuster memory switch, if equipped. Refer to Front Seat Heater Switch
Replacement (See: Seats/Seat Heater Switch/Service and Repair) or Driver Seat Adjuster Memory Switch Replacement (Crew Cab) (See:
Mirrors/Memory Positioning Systems/Seat Memory Switch/Service and Repair).
3. Depress both tabs to remove the front side door cable and pull the cable rearward out of the handle assembly.
Installation Procedure
1. Connect the front side door cable. Ensure the cable is fully seated past the guide tab.
2. Slide the front side door inside handle assembly into place (2).
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).
3. Install the front side door inside handle fasteners and tighten to 2 Nm (18 lb in).
