Positive and Negative 14-Volt Battery Cable Replacement (5.3L Engine w/RPO HP2)
Removal Procedure
1. Disconnect the generator battery carrier.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Unsnap the positive battery cable cap.
4. Disconnect the positive battery cable.
5. Remove the left fender to cowl support brace bolts and brace.
6. Remove the underhood electrical center (UEC) cover.
Important: The bolt is integral to the battery cable and is not removable.
7. Loosen the positive battery cable bolt at the UEC.
8. Remove the positive cable from the UEC.
9. Remove the nut at the UEC.
10. Remove the positive cable from the UEC.
