Hood Latch Release Cable Replacement
Removal Procedure
Important: If the cable is broken, release the hood by pressing the latch tab on the left side of the lock assembly. Use a rod to press the latch
tab.
1. Lift the hood.
2. Remove the left hinge pillar trim panel. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement .
3. Remove the electrical center cover by removing the center retaining nut, and releasing the retaining clips (1) on both sides.
4. In order to gain access to the hood release cable, it is necessary to move the electrical center by releasing the retaining clips (1) on both sides, and
lifting out of the retaining grooves (2).
