Camshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Turn off the ignition.
2. Loosen the CMP sensor retaining bolt.
3. Remove the CMP sensor.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the CMP sensor.
-

Apply a thin layer of engine oil over the O-ring and install it.

2. Tighten the CMP sensor retaining bolt.

Tightening torque: 8 N-m (69 lb in)
