J 3049-A Valve Lifter Remover
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the cylinder head and gasket. Refer to Cylinder Head Replacement - Left or Cylinder Head Replacement - Right.
2. Remove the valve lifter guide bolts.
3. Remove the valve lifters and guide.
4. Important: Some valve lifters may be stuck in their bores because of gum or varnish deposits.
Use J 3049-A or equivalent in order to remove the valve lifters, if required.
