Park Brake Cable Replacement - Left Rear

Park Brake Cable Replacement - Left Rear (without RPO NYS)
Removal Procedure
1. Ensure that the park brake is released.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. If vehicle is a 1500 series with the first design cable, perform the following:
1. Relieve tension on the park brake cables by pulling down on the front park brake cable (1) just in front of the equalizer.
2. Remove the left rear park brake cable (3) from the equalizer bar.
3. Remove the park brake cable from the frame bracket and guides.
4. If vehicle is a 1500 series with the second design or a 2500 series, relieve the tension from the park brake cable by pulling down on the cable in
front of the equalizer and removing the cable from the equalizer bar.
