1. If installing the old sensor, coat the threads with sealant GM P/N 12346004 (Canadian P/N 10953480) or equivalent.

Caution:  Refer to Fastener Caution   See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution.

2. Install the ECT sensor and tighten to 20 Nm (15 lb ft).

3. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (2) to the ECT sensor.
4. Refill the cooling. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling   See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Service and Repair/Cooling
