the fuel level. There is no risk of fuel leakage outside of the carburetor. If the float leaks, it will fill with fuel and sink. This causes carburetor flooding
and the engine will not start. During those few days when the float is sinking, the engine will become increasingly difficult to start, especially in warm
weather when the engine is hot.
If you have this problem now or in the future, authorized Honda dealers will replace sunken floats free of charge under warranty. This special warranty
coverage for float replacement only, applies to vehicles which are less than 7 years old and which have been driven less than 75,000 miles.
If you had this problem prior to receiving this letter and you paid for float replacement, we will reimburse you for that expense as explained below:

American Honda will reimburse you for the reasonable cost of float replacement(s) only. No reimbursement will be made for unrelated
repairs such as carburetor overhauls, or removal of contamination from the fuel system.

This is a one-time offer for reimbursement of float replacement expenses. Future repairs should be handled by authorized Honda dealers.
Please refer to your warranty booklet in cases involving emergency repairs.
