Check Valve in Rear Washer Hose

Later production 82 Accord Hatch backs and 84 Civic 1.5 Hatch backs have a check valve (H/C 1292176) installed in the rear washer hose. The valve
keeps the water in the windshield washer reservoir from siphoning" out through the rear washer nozzle when the car is parked facing uphill.
NOTE:
To install the valve on an early 82 Accord or 84 Civic, just open the hatch, cut the rear washer hose in half, and insert the check valve with its arrow
toward the nozzle as shown.
