Heated Oxygen Sensor: Testing and Inspection

1.

Push voltmeter positive probe into blue/white wire terminal of control unit connector and connect negative probe to suitable ground.

2.

Start engine and warm to normal operating temperature, then rev engine several times while observing voltmeter. Voltmeter should reach .5 volt or
higher.

3.

If voltmeter does not reach .5 volt, check wiring or fuse and, if satisfactory, replace oxygen sensor and repeat test.
