Replacing Dislodged Main Springs
1.
Use a hooked piece of welding rod to grasp the end of the main spring (Sedan) or cam plate (Hatchback). Make sure the open end of the spring or
cam plate hook faces the car, as shown.
Replacing Dislodged Main Springs

Have an assistant fold the mirror toward the car while you pull the main spring/cam plate toward you. Now reposition the retaining plate (Sedan)
or retaining pin (Hatchback).
