1986-87 Accord

Disconnect hose 14 from power valve, Fig. 20, and connect a suitable vacuum pump onto the valve. Apply vacuum and listen for a clicking noise
from the power valve.
2.
If a clicking noise is heard, proceed to step 3. If no clicking noise is heard, replace carburetor and retest.
3.
Start and allow engine to reach normal operating temperature.
4.
Disconnect hose 14 from power valve and connect a suitable vacuum gauge onto hose. Check that there is vacuum while engine is idling.
5.
If there is no vacuum, check that vacuum hose is properly connected. Check hose for tears and or clogging.
