Intake Manifold Vacuum Damper: Testing and Inspection
1.
Disconnect hose from frequency valve B and connect vacuum gauge to hose.
2.
Start engine and check for vacuum with engine running at idle. Vacuum should stabilize at 5.9-9.8 inches Hg for California models or 7.1-11.0
inches Hg for all other models.
3.
If vacuum does not stabilize, or stabilizes outside of specified range, replace CVG.
