NOTE:

It may be necessary to remove the mirror glass for access to the dislodged spring/cam plate. Do so by inserting a small screwdriver through the
access hole in the bottom of the mirror housing and loosening the tension screw. Then gently pry out the edge of the glass with your fingers
until it pops off the ball joint.

1.

Use a hooked piece of welding rod to grasp the end of the camplate. Make sure the camplate faces the car as shown.

2.

Have an assistant fold the mirror toward the car while you pull the camplate toward you. Reposition the retaining pin and follow step 3 above.

Connecting the Linkage-Sedan
1.

Remove the black plastic cover plate.

2.

Remove the retainer's hook from the main spring mounting post, being careful not to move the mirror.

NOTE:

Moving the mirror may dislodge the main spring.

3.

Position the mirror so the end of the main spring fits into the mounting post as shown, tighten the main spring retaining screw.
