CORRECTIVE ACTION
Replace the door handle seal with the seal listed under PARTS INFORMATION.
1.
Remove the door panel and rain protector from the door. Refer to section 20 of the Service Manual.
2.
Remove the outside door handle.
3.
Remove the old seal and install the new seal.
4.
Reinstall the outside door handle. To prevent damage to the new seal, do the following:

Tighten the mounting bolts finger-tight.

While pushing down on the door handle, torque the rear mounting bolt to 9.8 N.m (1.0 kgf-m, 7.2 lbf-ft).

While pulling up lightly on the door handle, torque the front mounting bolt to the same value.
5.
Reinstall the door hardware, rain protector, and door panel.
