[NEW] Install a new trunk latch, and tighten the three 6 mm mounting bolts to 9.8 N-m (1.0 kg-m, 7.2 lb-ft).

Remove the right and left taillight access covers from inside the trunk area; then, remove the two trim clips and the rear trim panel to expose the
striker assembly.

Check the alignment of the striker assembly. The top edge of the striker plate should be even with the right and left alignment marks on the body,
and the striker should be centered on the latch as you close the trunk lid.

If the striker is misaligned, loosen the two 6 mm mounting bolts. Adjust the striker so its top edge is touching the lower right and left alignment
marks on the body; then, move it horizontally as necessary to center on the latch. Tighten the bolts to 9.8 N-m (1.0 kg-m, 7.2 lb.ft.).
