Separate the upper panel from the lower panel, and discard the lower one.

Look for a strip of wool felt along the bottom edge of the upper panel. If the felt is not there, install a 7 mm wide strip.
6.
Attach the new lower panel to the upper panel with the nine screws you removed in step 3.
7.
Remove the paper backing from the felt tape on the lower panel, then attach the tape to the upper panel.
8.
Install the parts you removed in step 2 onto the new lower panel.
9.
Reinstall the door panel. (Refer to section 20 of the appropriate Accord Service Manual.)
10.
Check the operation of the power windows, the power mirrors, the door locks, and the courtesy light.
