"Cracking" Noise From the Door Armrest
PROBLEM
A "cracking" noise when pressure is applied to the door armrest.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Replace the lower door panel with the new panel listed under PARTS INFORMATION.
NOTE:
Before taking the door panel off the door, reach behind the courtesy light and disconnect its connector. This will prevent you from damaging the wire
harness.
1.
Remove the door panel. (Refer to section 20 of the appropriate Accord Service Manual.)
2.
Lay the door panel on a protective cloth, then remove the following parts:

Speaker cover
^
Door pocket
^
Armrest with power window master switch
^
Door protector
^
Courtesy light
3.
Remove the nine screws holding the upper and lower panels together.
