Buzzing From the Rear Shelf
SYMPTOM
A buzzing noise coming from the rear shelf area when driving on rough roads.
PROBABLE CAUSES
^
The rear shelf is vibrating against the metal support.
^
The defogger wiring harness is vibrating on the shelf support (Coupe only).
^
The antenna coil bracket is loose (Coupe only).
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Pad the rear shelf and wiring harness with EPT Sealer 5T (see REQUIRED MATERIALS).
DIAGNOSIS
Rap on the rear shelf with your hand. If you hear any rattling proceed with this CORRECTIVE ACTION.
Repair Procedure - Sedan
1.
Fold down the rear seat-back.
2.
Remove the left and right C-pillar trim panels.
