Housing Assembly HVAC: Service and Repair
Removal/Replacement
CAUTION:

All SRS electrical wiring harnesses are covered with yellow insulation.

Before you disconnect any part of the SRS wire harness, connect the short connectors.

Replace the entire affected SRS harness assembly if it has an open circuit or damaged wiring.
NOTE: The original radio has a coded theft protection circuit. Be sure to get the customer's code number before:
-
disconnecting the battery.

removing the No. 39 (7.5 A) fuse from the under-hood fuse/relay box.

removing the radio.
After service, reconnect power to the radio and turn it on. When the word "CODE" is displayed, enter the customer's 5-digit code to restore radio
operation.
1. When the engine is cool, drain the engine coolant from the radiator.
WARNING: Do not remove the radiator cap when the engine is hot; the engine coolant is under pressure and could severely scald you.
2. Open the clamp, then disconnect the heater valve cable from the heater valve arm.
