SYMPTOM
Glove box rattles or squeaks.
PROBABLE CAUSE
The hinges are loose.
There is excessive clearance around the damper post.

CORRECTIVE ACTION
Crimp the bottom hinges. Put a foam washer on the damper post to prevent vibration.
1.
Remove the glove box (see 1992 Service Manual, page 20-66).
2.
With a pair of needle-nose pliers, crimp the hinges on the bottom of the glove box. Crimp each hinge just untii it touches the hinge pin.
