Remove the interior kick panel and check for water that may be entering from any of the following points:
^
Open wheelhouse-to-bulkhead seams.

Sunroof drain tube grommet (or plug for vehicles without a sunroof).
^
Hood release cable grommet (plug on right side).

Raise the car on a lift; remove the screws holding the rear section of the inner liner.
4.
Check for improper seating of any of the grommets or plugs.
5.
Check under the grommet flange. Scrape the area with a putty knife to remove any high spots caused by excessive adhesive.
6.
Reinstall the grommet or plug. Apply 3M Flexiclear Seam Sealer (3M P/N 08405).
7.
Check the wheelhouse-to-bulkhead seam for possible leaks.
