Remove the lower steering column cover.

12.

Lubricate the pinion shaft and grommet bore with lithium dielectric grease. Spray silicone lubricant through the grommet bore into the pinion boot.
(See REQUIRED MATERIALS.)

13.

Reinstall the lower steering column cover.
