SYMPTOM
The window rattles when it is half open.
PROBABLE CAUSE
Excess clearance between the guide pin and the center sash guide.
CORRECTIVE ACTION [NEW]
Replace the sash guide with the improved guide listed under PARTS INFORMATION.
1.
Lower the window fully.
2.
Peel off the sash guide cover.
3.
Remove the mounting screws and the sash guide.
4.
Install the new sash guide with the original screws.
5.
Apply small dabs of 3M Super Silicone Sealant, P/N 08662, to the top, middle, and bottom of the back side of the sash guide cover. Install the
sash guide cover to the sash guide.
