Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Description and Operation

Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor 1/2

The ECT sensor 1/2 is a temperature dependent resistor (thermistor). The resistance of the thermistor decreases as the engine coolant temperature
increases.
