Fig. 6 Intermediate Shaft Assembly

1. Remove intermediate shaft outer seal and external clip, Fig. 6.
2. Using press and suitable bearing remover, press intermediate shaft out of shaft bearing.
3. Remove intermediate shaft inner seal and internal circlip.
4. Using press and driver tool No. 07749-0010000, attachment tool No. 07746-0010300, support base attachment tool No. 07LAF-SM40300 and

support base tool No. 07965-SD90100, or equivalents, press intermediate bearing out of bearing support.

5. Using press and driver tool No. 07749-0010000 and seal driver attachment tool No. 07947-SD90101, or equivalents, press intermediate shaft

bearing into bearing support.

6. Seat 58 mm internal circlip in groove of bearing support with tapered end facing out.
7. Using press and driver tool No. 07749-0010000 and driver attachment tool No. 07LAD-SM40100, or equivalents, press intermediate shaft inner

seal into bearing support.

8. Using press and driver tool No. 07746-0030100, or equivalent, press intermediate shaft into shaft bearing.
9. Seat 38 mm external circlip in groove of bearing support with tapered end facing out.

10. Using press and driver tool No. 07749-0010000, oil seal driver tool No. 07GAD-PG40100, support base attachment tool No. 07LAF-SM40300

and support base tool No. 07965-SD90100, or equivalents, press outer seal into bearing support 0.
