SYMPTOM
The panic alarm sounds without being activated by the the remote transmitter.
PROBABLE CAUSE
The remote transmitter case is flexing.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Install rubber spacers in each remote transmitter to stiffen the case and reduce the chance of false alarms. Educate the customer that excessive pressure
on the remote may cause the panic alarm to be triggered.

DIAGNOSIS
1.
Get all of the customer's remote transmitters.
2.
Make sure all of the remote transmitters work properly.
3.
Ask the customer if the alarm sounded for more than 30 seconds; if so, it was not caused by the remote transmitter case flexing. Check for other
security system problems. Refer to page 22-206 of the 1998-2001 service manual.
