ABS Indicator Is On With DTC 81

SYMPTOM

ABS indicator light is on with ABS DTC 51 [Central Processing Unit (CPU) Diagnosis, and ROM/RAM Diagnosis] stored.

PROBABLE CAUSE

ABS control unit malfunction.

CORRECTIVE ACTION

Replace the ABS control unit.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1.

Use the PGM Tester to verify that ABS DTC 51 is stored in the ABS control unit.

If DTC 51 is stored, go to step 2.

If another DTC is stored, continue with normal troubleshooting.

Remove the driver's kick panel.
