Summary:

Vehicle Description: Passenger vehicles. The front passenger seat belt retractor mounting bracket was improperly welded.

This condition can cause the bracket to separate from the vehicle body in a crash.

Dealers will inspect and repair these vehicles.

Owner notification began December 1, 1997. All owners have been notified by telephone and are having their vehicles repaired. No further action is
necessary on this recall campaign.
