6. Measure taper at the edges of each journal. The difference between measurements on each journal must not exceed the standard.

Journal Taper

Standard (New): 0.005 mm (0.0002 inch) 

7. Measure runout on the No.2 journal (A) of each balancer shaft to make sure the balancer shafts are not bent.

Balancer Shaft Total Indicated Runout

Standard (New): 0.02 mm (0.001 inch)
Service Limit: 0.03 mm (0.001 inch)
