Accord LX Sedan L4-2156cc 2.2L SOHC MFI (1997)
7. Install the damper fork over the driveshaft and onto the lower arm. Install the front damper in the damper fork so the aligning tab is aligned with
the slot in the damper fork.
8. Loosely install the flange bolt into the damper fork.
9. Loosely install a new self-locking nut with the flange bolt.
10. Raise the steering knuckle with a floor jack until the vehicle just lifts off the safety stand. The floor jack must be securely positioned or personal
injury may result.
11. Tighten the flange bolt.
12. Tighten the self-locking nut.
13. Tighten the flange nuts on the top of the front damper to the specified torque.
14. Install the brake hose mounts with the brake hose mounting bolts.
15. Install the front wheel.
Rear Shock
REMOVAL
1. Remove the rear wheels.
2. Remove the rear seat (Sedan) or the rear seat cushion and side-bolsters (Wagon) or the rear bulkhead cover and right gusset cover (Coupe).
3. Pull back the front of the quarter trim panel, and remove the two flange nuts. (The illustration shows rear damper for Sedan.)
