Disconnect the 6P connector from the trunk latch assembly. Check for a momentary voltage reading at the WHT/RED wire terminal when you
press and hold the remote transmitter button.

If you get no voltage reading, check for continuity between the MPCU and the trunk latch.

If you read a constant voltage, or a brief voltage spike, continue to REPAIR PROCEDURE.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1.

Remove the dashboard center lower cover (four clips).

2.

Remove the passenger's-side fuse box cover.

3.

Remove the passenger's-side dashboard lower cover (three screws and seven clips).
