If the label indicates Denso, disregard this Service Bulletin.

If the label indicates Valeo, go to step 2.

2.

With the engine and radiator cool to the touch, loosen and remove the radiator drain plug, then quickly replace it with the new part to minimize
coolant loss. Tighten the drain plug securely.

3.

Check the coolant level at the coolant reservoir.

If the coolant level is OK, remove the radiator cap, and check the coolant level in the radiator Replenish the coolant, if necessary, with a 50/50
mixture of Genuine Honda Antifreeze/Coolant and water to bring the coolant level up to the bottom of the filler neck.

If the coolant reservoir is empty, refill the reservoir and radiator, and bleed the system. Refer to the 1998 Accord Service Manual.
