Balance Shaft Seal: Service and Repair

BALANCER SHAFT SEALS INSTALLATION -IN-CAR 

Special Tools Required

Attachment, 30 mm I.D. 07746-0030300

1. Dry the crankshaft oil seal housing.
2. Apply a light coat of grease to the balancer shaft and to the lip of the seal.

3. Using the special tools, drive in the front balancer shaft oil seal until the driver bottoms against the oil pump. When the seal is in place, clean any

excess grease off the balancer shaft, and check that the oil seal lip is not distorted.
