If the indicator remains on, disregard this bulletin and continue with normal troubleshooting procedures.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1.

Remove the brake master cylinder reservoir cap.

2.

Raise the float, and carefully remove the C-clip from the cap stem.

NOTE:

The cap stem contains a reed switch that can be easily broken if the stem is flexed.

3.

Remove and discard the old float.

4.

Install the new float on the stem with the large diameter side toward the C-clip, then carefully install the C-clip.

5.

Install the reservoir cap, and reconnect the connectors.

6.

Verify that the brake indicator functions properly.
