Unhook the base of the anti-theft tube from the tab on the latch by pushing it down and twisting it counterclockwise. If you cannot unhook the tube
by twisting it, use a small, flat tip screwdriver to pry it off. Then pull the tube up through the door lock knob hole.

Set the tube on a workbench, and carefully cut away a 12 mm piece from the bottom of the tube with a razor blade.

Before you reinstall the tube, raise the door glass, remove the center channel mounting bolt, and move the channel forward. This will give you
easier access to the latch assembly.
