Power Seat Will Not Move Forward or Backward

SYMPTOM

The driver's six-way power seat does not move forward or backward.

PROBABLE CAUSE

The seat track synchronizer cable and its cover are detached from the seat assembly.

DIAGNOSIS

Look for the synchronizer cable and cover under the driver's seat. If the cable is detached or missing, go to CORRECTIVE ACTION.

CORRECTIVE ACTION

Align the seat track, and install a new synchronizer cable and cover (see PARTS INFORMATION).

Adjust the seat to its highest position, front and rear.
