1. When reassembling the distributor, install the distributor ignition (DI) rotor so that it faces in the direction shown (toward the No. 1 cylinder).
2. Align the index mark on the distributor ignition (DI) housing with the index mark on the end of the shaft.
INSTALLATION
NOTE:

Use the illustration as reference for reassembly.

Before you install the distributor, bring the No. 1 piston to compression stroke TDC.
1. Coat a new 0-ring with engine oil, then install it.
2. Slip the distributor into position.
