Accord Sedan V6-2.7L SOHC (24 Valve) (1996)
Actuator Cable: Adjustments
1. Inspect actuator cable for smooth operation. Cable should not bind or stick in proper operating condition.
2. Start engine and bring to 3000 RPM with A/T in N or P position. Wait until radiator fan engages, then stop engine.
3. Measure amount of freeplay of the output linkage.
4. If freeplay is not to specification, then turn adjusting nut until it is 0.18-0.22 inch away from bracket.
5. Pull cable so adjusting nut touches bracket, then tighten locknut.
