Oil Pressure Sender: Testing and Inspection
Engine Low Oil Pressure Indicator System - Switch Test
1. Remove the YEL/RED wire from the engine oil pressure switch.
2. Check for continuity between the positive terminal and the engine (ground).
^ There should be continuity with the engine stopped.
^ There should be no continuity when the engine runs.
3. If the switch fails to operate, check the engine oil level. If the engine oil level is OK, check the engine oil pressure and, if necessary, inspect the oil
pump.
