Fuel Gauge Stays at Empty

SYMPTOM

The fuel gauge registers empty, even though the tank is full. This symptom is most likely to occur if the car is driven until the tank is almost completely
empty before refueling.

PROBABLE CAUSE

The sending unit float is sticking on a tank rib.
