Steering Wheel: Service and Repair
Installation

1. On models equipped with air bag, center the cable reel as follows:

a. Rotate cable reel clockwise until it stops.
b. Rotate cable reel counterclockwise (approximately two turns) until yellow gear tooth lines up with alignment mark on cover, or arrow mark on

cable reel label points straight up.

2. Install steering wheel on steering shaft in straight ahead position.

3. On models equipped with air bag, ensure steering wheel shaft engages pins of cable reel, Fig. 1.
