Trim Removal/Installation - Rear Shelf Area

Rear Shelf - 2-door
SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations and the precautions and procedures before performing repairs or service.
NOTE:

Put on gloves to protect your hands.

Take care not to bend or scratch the rear shelf and trim.

Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when prying components.
1. Fold both seat-backs forward.
2. From the trunk compartment, disconnect and detach the high-mount brake light connector (A).
3. Carefully lift up on the front edge of the rear shelf (A) by hand to release the front hooks (B) from the body, to detach the clips, and to disengage
the side hooks (C) from the rear shelf extension (D).
