Lay the accelerator pedal on a flat surface and snap the accelerator pedal into the pedal stop.
NOTE:
Be careful not to damage the accelerator pedal linkage.

If the accelerator pedal snaps into the pedal stop, the assembly is okay. Reinstall in the vehicle and go to step 5.

If the accelerator pedal does not snap into the pedal stop, go to step 4.*
