Rattle From the Interior Door Panel

SYMPTOM

A rattle coming from either front door when driving on rough roads or over a bump.

PROBABLE CAUSE

The interior door panel is hitting against the door skin.

CORRECTIVE ACTION

Pad the inside of the interior door panel with EPT Sealer 5T (see REQUIRED MATERIALS).

1.

Remove the interior door panel (service manual section 20).

2.

Lay the door panel on a clean, padded surface so you do not mar the panel.

Repair Procedure, 2-door and 3-door

1.

Cut two 15 x 100 mm strips of EPT Sealer 5T install them on the door panel ribs.
