Two Arms

Turn the regulator to check the feel of the sector gear against the gear rack. If it binds or feels rough, repeat step 3.

Turn the regulator over. Select a socket that just clears the square rivet holding the two arms together. Support the rivet from the underside,
then tap the socket to loosen the center of the two arms.
Sliding Surfaces

Remove the coil spring from the regulator and pack its windings and contact surfaces with grease, then re-install it.
7.
Lubricate all sliding surfaces, then reinstall the regulator.
8.
Adjust window fit, as necessary, according to instructions in service manual.
