SYMPTOM
Front power windows raise or lower slowly or, if the windows are manual, raising or lowering them requires extra effort.
CORRECTIVE ACTION

For '86 Accord, do steps 1 through 10.

For '82-85 Accord, do only steps 7 through 10..
'86 ACCORDS ONLY
1.
Remove the door trim panel, the window, and the glass run channel, following the Service Manual procedure.
2.
Remove the outer window molding by prying up with a long flat tip screwdriver at the rear edge of the door.
CAUTION: Be careful not to mar the painted surface.
DOOR SASH GARNISH
3.
Remove the two door sash garnish screws that were under the glass run channel. Remove the garnish by prying up as shown, starting at the top.
CENTER PILLAR GROMMETS
4.
Replace the two center pillar grommets that hold the garnish screws in place with the new type listed under Parts Information. Install the
grommets with the locating tip facing outward.
