Repair Procedure

1.

Write down the radio station presets.

2.

Disconnect the negative cable from the battery, then disconnect the positive cable, and wait at least three minutes before continuing.

3.

With the front wheels aligned straight ahead, remove the access panel from the back of the steering wheel, then disconnect the 2P connector
between the driver's airbag and the cable reel.

NOTE: 

Disconnecting the 2P connector automatically shorts the airbag wires; a shorting connector is not needed.

4.

Remove the driver's dashboard lower cover.

5.

Remove the two bolt covers from the back of the steering wheel. Then remove and discard the two Torx bolts, disconnect the horn connector, and
remove the driver's airbag.
