Trunk Lid Latch Replacement

NOTE:  Put on gloves to protect your hands.

1. Disconnect the cylinder rod from the lock cylinder.

2. Disconnect the trunk lid opener cable (A), and remove the bolts securing the trunk lid latch (B). Take care not to kink the opener cable.
3. Disconnect the trunk lid latch switch connector (C).

4. Pull the trunk lid latch (A) out with the cylinder rod (B), and disconnect the cylinder rod from the trunk lid latch. Take care not to bend or kink the

cylinder rod.

5. Install the latch in the reverse order of removal, and note these items.

Make sure the connector is plugged in properly and the opener cable is connected properly.

Make sure the cable actuates the latch before you close the trunk lid.

Make sure the trunk lid opens properly and locks securely.
