Fast Idle Speed

Fast Idle Adjusting Screw

1.

Start engine and allow to reach normal operating temperature, then stop engine and connect suitable tachometer.

2.

Disconnect and plug the inside vacuum hose of the fast idle unloader.

3.

Engage the fast idle cam by fully opening and closing the throttle while holding the choke blade closed.

4.

Start the engine without opening the throttle and check idle speed, should be 3000±500 rpm.

5.

If fast idle speed is not within specifications, adjust by turning fast idle screw.
